Special Somerset swings introduced

Tags: Swings, Swings Introduced

Anyone staying at Somerset cottages who fancies having a go on a unique swing has a range of options ahead of them thanks to the National Trust.

Swings are great for everyone – young and old – to feel a little rush of exhilaration and the organisation has recognised this joy by adding 14 specially crafted seats to trees at properties in south Somerset.

So if you fancy giving your children a ride on a huge copper swing in the shape of folded leaf – the option at Montacute House – or one of the other fun designs, then check the National Trust website to see where the items have been installed.

But this is not restricted to parents, enjoying a swing on a unique seat could be quite a romantic experience for a young couple.

If you like the sound of the one at Montacute House, make sure you go while the 16th century mansion is open – from 11:00 to 17:00 BST every day.
