The Eurostar has made a variety of changes to its Business Premier services.
Eurostar has established a new service for its Business Premier class customers, meaning they will able to get a train even if they miss the one they were reserved on.
The company’s boarding guarantee is exclusive to these consumers and hopes to reduce the worry for those who might have arrived late for their service.
It means they can board another train without having to visit the ticket office – and the option can also be used by travellers who arrive early.
Passengers can use the guarantee on the same day as their original booking and will aim to be accommodated in Business Premier coaches.
At times when this is not possible, they are still guaranteed to be able to travel on their chosen train in either Standard Premier or Standard class.
Commercial director Nick Mercer said: “Business plans can change quickly, which is why we’re committed to offering our Business Premier customers a service that is as flexible as their schedule requires.”
This is just one of a number of improvements being made to the service throughout the year and Mr Mercer hopes it will make Eurostar “a benchmark for short-haul business travel”.
Other perks enjoyed by Business Premier travellers include a ten-minute express check-in, business lounge access, fully-flexible fares and onboard menus designed alongside Michelin-star chef Alain Roux.
Travel insurance policyholders and other wishing to use the Eurostar can visit destinations including Lille, Paris and Brussels, which are accessible within a matter of hours from the UK.

Severe thunderstorms and tornadoes have been forecast for certain parts of the United States of America today (April 27th) – and the warning may be a timely one for those heading across the Atlantic this spring.
Flooding has already swept through Midwestern states, including Kentucky and Arkansas, but further extreme conditions are on the way.
The country’s National Weather Service said storms and tornadoes are expected to hit sections of the Tennessee Valley and south-eastern US tonight, with northern Alabama, north-eastern Mississippi and far north-western Georgia all believed to be in the line of attack.
Yesterday, 1,000 people had to be evacuated from close to the Missouri city of Poplar Bluff due to a levee failure and the resultant fear of flash flooding.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (Fema) advised anyone in a storm’s path to keep listening for state and local announcements via radio or TV.
“Residents should take this threat of active weather seriously, be prepared and stay informed,” said Beth Freeman, Fema Region VII administrator. Read full topic…
